Hopeful Americans

Hmmmm…
With no evidence to support their claim and despite warnings to the contrary from medical experts, Trump, Pence, Limbaugh and the talking heads of the right-wing echo chamber are telling us contracting the corona virus will be no worse than a common cold.
It would be remarkable and wonderful if that turned out to be the case.
Should they be wrong, however, one can hope they and their sheeple believe their own bullshit, fail to wash their hands, and indeed get it.

Presidential Candidates

This will not be enough to win the nomination.

This, however, seems to be working quite well.

Trump Says Sotomayor, Ginsburg Should Recuse Themselves From Cases Involving Him
February 25, 2020 7:36 AM ET

This may come as a shock to those familiar with my writing. Donald Trump doesn’t want bias in the Supreme Court, and I agree with him.
There is no room for bias bias in the Supreme Court.
Of course, Trump only calls for recusal by justices he says are biased against him. He says nothing about those who are biased for him.
I say, give the devil his due.
Supreme Court justices who are biased either for or against Trump should recuse themselves from all cases involving him and leave the decisions to justices Breyer and Kagan. 😎

Curriculum Critics

The fact that you attended school for twelve years does not mean you're qualified to decide what should and should not be taught in the classroom.
The fact that you believe otherwise is a pretty-good indication that you should have paid more attention while you were there.

Poetry Lovers

From Trump a brand new Boy Scout oath!
Honor? Duty? He lacks both.
Poetic license run amuck,
The perfect trademark of a schmuck.
If doggerel is what you crave
You'll get it from this surly knave.

Cartoonist, Clay Bennett

I understand what you're trying to say with the box of tissues on the corner of what appears to be Trump's desk in the Oval Office, but you really should think outside the box.

Presidential Pardon printed on a perforated roll hanging next to a gold toilet would have said it more accurately.

Debate Watchers

Mike Bloomberg has qualified for the upcoming Democratic candidate debate. It's time to stop and frisk his actual record, not what the TV ads he's been running say about him.

Democrats

I borrowed today's post from fellow blogger, Seth Godin, a marketing guru.

Toward perfect

Draw a perfect circle. Use a compass or a plotter.
Now, zoom in. If you zoom in close enough, you’ll discover that it’s not a perfect circle at all. In fact, anything we create, at close enough magnification, isn’t perfect.
It’s foolish to wait until you’ve made something that’s perfect, because you never will. The alternative is to continue to move toward your imaginary ideal, shipping as you iterate.
Getting better is the path to better.

Although Seth's post is aimed at business owners, it explains exactly why every Democrat should support whichever candidate wins the nomination to run against Donald Trump in November.

Not one of the candidates is perfect, but every one of them offers a path to better that's infinitely better and offers more opportunities to improve the country than the path down which the man currently befouling the Oval Office is taking us.

Barr blasts Trump's tweets on Stone case: 'Impossible for me to do my job': ABC News Exclusive

Shame on you, journalists. You're being playedagain.
🤬
Bill Barr is a double-talking snake. This has been evident since he Trumpified the Mueller Report, and you failed to expose his duplicity.
Barr said in an ABC interview that Trump's tweets "make it impossible for me to do my job." He did not blast Trump, nor did he say he disagreed with Trump's comments on the Roger Stone case.
Anyone who has been paying attention to the job Bill Barr has done since he became the AG knows that he believes his job is to make sure Trump gets whatever he wants.

Bill Barr

Who's a good boy? Whoooo's a good boy, Billy? You're a good boy, Billy. You're the good boy! Gooooood boy!

Gracious me! What was I thinking?
There is no "if you're listening, Billy." Billy's listening. He's definitely listening to his master.
He's also lifting his hind leg and pissing on the Constitution.

Non-voters

This is the speech Trump would be giving today if you hadn't been brainwashed by right-wing propaganda into believing your vote wouldn't count back in 2014 when you allowed Republicans to take over the Senate.

Evangelicals

Christian pastor: The left hates Trump because he’s ‘too much of a man for them.’

If you're hearing this from your pastor, you're being led by an adult with the maturity of a callow, middle school boy.
Such boys often covet the swagger and bluster of the class bully and adopt his behavior to mask their self-doubt. As men they may find leadership positions in groups where where misogynistic, bigoted, and demeaning conduct is mistaken for the maturity they never developed.

John Bolton

Your bait-and-switch offer and subsequent failure to testify unmasks your duplicity and cowardice and is, in fact, a betrayal of any oath to the Constitution you have ever sworn.

Nancy Pelosi

Impeach the SOB again and give the GOP cowards a second chance to live up to their oath to support the Constitution.

Susan Collins

Your stated belief that Donald Trump had learned his lesson and your subsequent attempt to walk back your idiotic belief is proof that you have not learned anything after three years of continuous Trump lies and that you are unfit to occupy any political position but that of sycophant to a would-be dictator.
